Wedding Photography at Melbourne View Hotel, Castle Donington

Still playing catchup with the weddings for earlier this year! Ann and Trevor married in January, on one of the coldest days of the winter.

Because Ann and Trevor live quite locally, we were able to photograph Ann getting ready at the hairdressers, Trev at home, and then proceed at a leisurely pace to the Melbourne View Hotel where they had a room for final preparations.

Ann looked strikingly beautiful in a flowing white dress with red embroidery.

And Trev scrubbed up pretty well too....

The day was beautiful and sunny, but the temperature never rose above freezing, and by the time we got down to the lake in Melbourne for some nice pictures it was -3 degrees centigrade! It was a case of either keeping moving, or staying in the golden sunshine for warmth!

However, the bright snow and iced-over lake made for some gorgeous pictures.

It was then back to the hotel to thaw out for the evening party, which was the best we've been to for quite a while. Ann and Trev certainly know how to throw a wedding bash!

UPDATE JULY 19th 2012: Ann and Trevor have just sent us a lovely e-mail:

"Hi Jon and Denise

Just a short email to say how blown away we are with our Storybook Album, everyone who has seen it so far is simply amazed. We've had so many comments too many to list, even the shop where I purchased my dress from have asked me about copies of certain shots to display in their new premises! The signature frame is beautiful and has pride of place in the hallway and will only be replaced (for a short spell) with the extra gift from yourselves! I don't think there are words to describe the quality of service we have received from you both, so relaxed, yet so professional. All I can say is you both work very hard at what you do and it certainly shows in your photographs.
Once again many, many thanks for capturing our special day in such a unique and amazing way.

Ann and Trevor"

Christmas Wedding Photography at Morley Hayes

There are some couples whom we photograph who are simply lovely people. When we go to the wedding, we are not photographers - we are friends and guests who are taking photographs. They wear their hearts on their sleeve, and are completely genuine in everything they say and do.

All  I can say is that if Carling did weddings, they would have Tracey and Paul as the Bride and Groom!

They married at Morley Hayes at the end of last year (as you can probably tell from the Christmas lights!), and I must apologise for taking so long to get their photos onto the blog!

I shan't bang on - the pictures tell their own story of a lovely day....

And here's what Tracey and Paul said about us once they had received their Graphistudio Storybook:

"Hello Denise and Jon

Just wanted to let you know that everyone we have shown the album and photographs to are blown away by them! Some of the comments I've had are: beautiful, amazing, stunning and fabulous! And none of them have seen an album like it before and most of the guests had not seen a signature frame before either!

Is there somewhere that Paul and I can write a review for you?

I can not thank you enough for all you did to help us with our special day and your photographs are a beautiful way of capturing it.

This certainly won't be the last you hear from us with my graduation (just make sure your still taking pictures in 2-3 years), Paul wants a new family portrait and I'll have to remember your new born pictures for when the time comes ;-)

Again, thank you so very much."

We wish them every happiness in the future, and look forward to photographing their newborns
