Wedding Photography at Barton Under Needwood

This wedding was always going to be a splendid affair - lots of guests, marquee reception, radiant bride and suave sophisticated groom (or so Glen said).

Because the marquee was at a friend's rather open and windswept farm near Barton Under Needwood, we were slightly worried about the weather - anything less than perfect, and life would start to get difficult. We needn't have worried. It was one of the sunniest and warmest October days on record!

A special mention goes to Glen for constructing the bar in the marquee himself, in situ. I had a good look at it, and he really did make a superb job of it. It wasn't just a bit of a thing either, as you can see from the picture!

Also, we would like to say thank you to the farmer who brought his tractor and modified bucket allowing me to be hoisted fifteen feet in the air to take the big group, which would otherwise have been pretty much impossible on a flat field.

That same farmer allowed us to use his landscaped garden for the main photographs of the couple, which was brilliant because it was within walking distance of the marquee.

The marquee was beautifully decked out inside, with a starlight canopy over the dancefloor. Every wedding that we do is different, and it's hard to say that one is 'better' than another, but this particular one was one of the highlights of 2011 for us.
