The theme of the wedding was gold, and it fitted very beautifully with the sunny day. Sharon was a picture in a parchment-coloured dress, with a fascinator and hand-ornament rather than traditional flowers and bouquet. Kurtis was there early, looking very suave!

St John's Church was a dream to shoot in, with a balcony at the rear, and a curtained rood screen for me to hide behind. The lighting was too bright, if anything, and the Minister charming. After the service, it was a bit wet underfoot, but we managed to keep all the gravestones out of the photographs and still get all the shots we wanted.

The reception was at the Village Hotel in Solihull, quite a drive, but the couple had seen it and fallen in love with its modern facade and spacious banqueting suites.

A great day was had by all, and we wish Sharon and Kurtis and family all the best.
